Spring Football Practice
Building the foundation for a great season.
Spring football is one of the most important times of year for the Friendswood Mustang Football program. From April through May, our athletes hit the field to compete, develop, and push each other to be better. Coaches use this time to evaluate players, identify growth, and build the chemistry that wins games in the fall.
This is also a meaningful time for our players individually. Spring practice gives every athlete the opportunity to make a name for themselves among their coaches and teammates. Hard work in the spring shows up on Friday nights in the fall.
A Note on College Recruiting
Spring practice is not just important for our athletes — it is important for their futures. Our spring dates fall within the open recruiting period for universities across the country, meaning college coaches from programs near and far have the opportunity to attend our practices and see our players in person. For any Mustang with college football aspirations, this is a valuable window. We encourage our players to show up ready to compete every single day.
About the Spring Game
The Spring Game is an intrasquad competition, meaning it is Friendswood versus Friendswood. Our athletes compete on both sides of the ball using a specific scoring format designed around the structure of the game. It is a true competition, and a great preview of what this team is building toward.
Admission is free. All are welcome. Come be part of it.
